It has been a while since I’ve written a post, I’ve been busy with a thing called life.A lot has happened since the inception of this blog. Things like, marriage, kids, new house, career change, starting and almost finishing school and not to mention travel, which really puts life into perspective. Countries visited so far, England, Netherlands, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Turkey, Pakistan, Panama and Afghanistan . For that reason, I’ve been been missing in action.
As I try to think back and recollect my thoughts on why this blog was started, I am reminded beautifully that life happens, priorities change and promises are broken (not keeping up the blog). Let it!
A poem from Rumi sums up my current mood.
The Guest House
This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they are a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still, treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice.
meet them at the door laughing and invite them in.
Be grateful for whatever comes.
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.
